This unique 1888 building was purchased and historically restored by artist Janet Powers and her husband Paul Stanton in 1999.
The building was the first Edo Miller funeral home, evolving from a place of mourning to a gallery for the celebration of fine art. It boasts
of old world charm at every inch of the space.
Located in historic downtown Brunswick the Gallery on Newcastle showcases Janet's work, which includes lush oil landscapes of the local
salt marsh, as well as other well-known artists from the Southeastern U.S.
To compliment the art are artifacts and antiques from China, Indonesia, and Mexico.
This gallery is a 'must see'. It houses one of the area's finest collections of fine art in an atmosphere of casual
warmth and old world charm.
Open Wednesday-Saturday 11am-5pm. You may also make an appointment to visit the gallery during off hours by calling
Janet at (912) 466-9791.
